Production Coordinator

The Floor Coverings International Production Coordinator oversees installation of multiple jobs, ensuring a positive customer experience, efficiency, profitability, and adherence to expectations set during the sale.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with sales staff to discuss recent sales, review customer expectations, and confirm product orders.
• Order all products needed for jobs accurately and follow up on delivery.
• Schedule jobs to meet customer and installer timelines.
• Keep customers informed of installation start dates, times, and work details.
• Communicate job progress daily.
• Obtain written permission for any changes to contracted work.
• Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers before job start.
• Deliver on expectations contracted in the sales process.
• Walk the customer through the job at completion and collect final payment.
• Resolve simple repairs.
• Manage jobs to meet profit objectives.
• Complete job costing reports within 24 hours of installation completion.
• Continuously search for installers who can provide a better customer experience and more reasonable rates.
• Resolve conflicts and complaints immediately.
• Maintain an organized and presentable showroom and office.
• Be available for Home Shows and training seminars at the owner’s discretion.
• Attend at least one training session per year and stay educated on new flooring.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Franchise Owner.
• Update daily log with job status and upcoming schedule.
• Work weekly and monthly to hit sales‑installation goals.
• Make decisions and act in accordance with Floor Coverings International’s core values and mission.

Qualifications

• Flooring installation experience preferred.
• Accurate product ordering experience.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Leadership skills to manage installers and handle conflict appropriately.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Strong organizational skills while managing multiple sites.
• Problem‑solving ability to meet customer expectations.
• Sound judgment for reasonable decision‑making.
• Professional image and demeanor.
• Ability to oversee jobs to achieve a 5‑star review.
