Production Coordinator - 1st Shift - $24.00-$28.00 p/h

About the role

The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production work orders, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring timely transaction processing within the company's ERP and production tracking systems. This role serves as a key link between Production, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management to ensure efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and on-time order completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills are required, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as QAD.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process production work orders, manufacturing transactions, and inventory movements within QAD/Factivity and other applicable systems.
  • Review, audit, and reconcile production data to ensure accuracy of labor reporting, inventory transactions, production output, and operational metrics.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Production, Planning, Quality, Shipping, and Management to facilitate workflow and resolve production-related issues.
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze production reports, KPIs, and operational data to support business decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing activities, and process optimization efforts.
  • Follow all Saint-Gobain safety policies and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with production scheduling activities as required.
  • Participate in audits, inventory activities, and cycle count support.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably QAD.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze production data and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with production scheduling and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational reporting.
  • Experience supporting ISO, AS9100, IATF, or similar quality management systems.

Pay

Saint-Gobain provides the national pay range for this position, which is $24.00–$28.00 per hour; the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 5% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $52,400 to $61,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
