Production Cook, Food Services

About the Role

At Wayfinder Family Services, we support some of our state’s most vulnerable children, youth, and adults—those with disabilities, those without a home, and those who have experienced abuse. The Production Cook facilitates meal production for the nutrition services department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent client information.
• Promote a healthy organizational culture based on trust, respect, empowerment, and accountability.
• Ensure sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Assist with lunch production and complete dinner production.
• Assist with group home, weekend, and holiday pack-outs.
• Prepare all meals in compliance with NSLP and recipe standards.
• Maintain all work areas in an orderly and sanitary fashion.
• Perform daily and weekly sanitation tasks.
• Perform other duties as may become necessary or as directed.

Requirements

• ServSafe Certified Food Handler certificate required.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
• Four years of institutional cooking experience preferred.
• Experience working in an institutional setting preferred.

Pay

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
