About the Role
At Wayfinder Family Services, we support some of our state’s most vulnerable children, youth, and adults—those with disabilities, those without a home, and those who have experienced abuse. The Production Cook facilitates meal production for the nutrition services department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent client information.
- Promote a healthy organizational culture based on trust, respect, empowerment, and accountability.
- Ensure sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Assist with lunch production and complete dinner production.
- Assist with group home, weekend, and holiday pack-outs.
- Prepare all meals in compliance with NSLP and recipe standards.
- Maintain all work areas in an orderly and sanitary fashion.
- Perform daily and weekly sanitation tasks.
- Perform other duties as may become necessary or as directed.
Requirements
- ServSafe Certified Food Handler certificate required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
- Four years of institutional cooking experience preferred.
- Experience working in an institutional setting preferred.

Pay
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
