Production Cook & Driver

About the role

The Production Cook & Driver position at Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties (CAPBM) involves producing meals for Senior Centers and Daycares, driving the delivery truck, and assisting in the storage area.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Cook to produce meals for Senior Centers and Daycares.
• Drive the delivery truck to the centers.
• Assist in the storage area by keeping inventory and organizing deliveries for the next day.
• Pack the delivery truck and deliver to centers based on the schedule and as needed.
• Support the growth of CAPBM Elder Services through Fundraising and Catered Events.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency credential.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience with cooking for seniors and/or frail population, including quantity cooking.
• Skills: Professionalism when interacting with health officials and managers. Effective communication and team building skills.
• Characteristics: Polite and courteous manner when dealing with participants.
• Technical: Current Food Safety certification and acceptance by Agency and Successful completion of criminal record check.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required, as some travel within the community may be necessary.
