Production Control Specialist 1/2 (Weekends)

About the role

This position will be filled at either, the Production Control Specialist 1 or Production Control Specialist 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing process within the Pit Technologies (PT) division.
• Primarily handle record keeping in the Oracle Material Resource Planning system and the Solumina Manufacturing Execution System.
• Support part delivery and support in shop floor operations.
• Track progress of production floor activities using the MRP/MES suite.
• Provide visibility and insight for leadership in multiple organizations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related experience for Production Control Specialist 1.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience for Production Control Specialist 2.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of configuration management, change control, and release management processes.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of production planning and scheduling methods.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of shop floor management and control practices.
• Demonstrated adherence to manufacturing policies, programs, procedures, and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage material in accordance with applicable quality assurance and industry standards.
• Above average computer skills and demonstrated experience with Inventory Control, Material Tracking systems, and various software suites, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide clear, concise support and guidance to others in sometimes stressful situations.
• Experience interacting professionally with all types of personnel, including external interfaces and executive management.
• Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and adjust to the workings of a dynamic mission-driven environment.
• Possess high attention to detail including strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, observational skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize storage areas, workflows, and material staging to support efficient operations.
• Ability to maintain safety and security compliance as a primary responsibility.
• Ability to complete required safety and security training and integrates safety into all tasks, including taking appropriate action to stop work if conditions are unsafe or compromise security.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, materials requirement planning).
• Experience managing material in a nuclear environment.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Non-HRP Green Strap.

Skills

• Knowledge of industry, regulatory, or Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) complex codes, standards, and criteria pertinent to the particular discipline.
• Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team of system analysts, software developers, system administrators, and professional staff.

Pay

• Production Control Specialist 1: $60,500 to $93,600
• Production Control Specialist 2: $72,800 to $115,400

Schedule

This position may/will require 24/7 coverage, which could/will involve working a shift/weekend schedule. Employees may be eligible for the shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift/weekend assignments are at the discretion of the manager.
