Production Control Kitter/Forklift Driver

Job Description

Production Control Kitter/Forklift Driver is primarily responsible for operating forklifts to support kitting and production needs. Secondary responsibilities include loading, unloading, and moving fabricated materials, proper disposal of material waste, and other duties as assigned.

• Maintain Forklift Certification
• Deliver fabricated palleted material to production floor using forklift
• Properly dispose of material waste using forklift
• Safely perform duties in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines
• Load, unload, and move fabricated materials by hand or pallet jack
• Sort and deliver fabricated materials to designated production locations
• Verify fabricated material quantities are correct and meet visual acceptance criteria
• Report any discrepancies to lead or supervisor
• Absorb inventory audits, weigh fabricated material for disposal
• Daily 5S sorting and cleanup
• Attend daily stand-up meetings
• Must be able to work overtime as required
• Be able to work independently or in a team environment
• Prioritize and manage time efficiently

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid US Driver License
• Previous forklift certification preferred
• Forklift spotter training
• Operation of manual and electronic pallet jacks
• Able to individually carry and move material up to 35 pounds
