Production Control Coordinator

About the Role

As the Production Control Coordinator (day shift) at our Muskegon, MI site, you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules, facilitate material flow to meet customer requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and operations to develop and implement action plans to close delivery gaps.

This position is on the day shift and involves working in a high-performance manufacturing environment producing High Pressure Turbine Nozzles, Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles, and Shrouds for commercial and military aircraft engines. Manufacturing processes include High Speed Grinding, Brazing/Heat Treat, In-machine deburr, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Ultrasonic Cleaning, and VPA Coating.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and own action plans to ensure build plans can be met.
• Lead changeover conversations based on build plans and work to close gaps for timely delivery.
• Ensure attainment tracking aligns with the build plan.
• Create and maintain the monthly output plan in conjunction with business leaders.
• Perform inventory actions to maintain system accuracy.
• Maintain final ship plans and outside process ship plans.
• Enter accurate commits to customers via the AMT system.
• Review AMT comments from corporate fulfillment and add comments on customer-critical material weekly.
• Communicate relevant information to back shifts daily to maintain plans, including corrective actions for rate misses.
• Coordinate with direct and indirect sourcing to ensure build plans are maintained.
• Input router changes into Oracle to ensure proper part flow.
• Identify aged inventory and own action plans to clear parts with operations and sourcing.
• Perform cycle counts, including precycle counts, to ensure BOM and detail pull accuracy.
• Identify gaps in cycle counts and incorporate Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Utilize all aspects of Flight Deck to drive business success.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited institution.

• Computer experience, including Excel, Word, and Oracle.
• Experience with shop floor manufacturing.
