Production Control Clerk

Location: Wallingford, CT • Full-time • First shift

About the role

The Production Control Clerk maintains the flow of product into and out of the production floor. This position prepares work order documentation to initiate the manufacturing process and creates shipping paperwork upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Assign serial numbers to manufactured items and maintain database
• Create and print marker bands, MI packs, and barcodes per item manufacturing instructions
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy of all material, cable assembly, and finished goods, including overbuilds
• Coordinate and request special markers with offsite vendor
• Prioritize and expedite rush orders per the production schedule
• Interface and assist production staff with marker issues and replacements
• Maintain off-line tracking lists
• Close production work orders and transfer inventory to finished goods
• Restock returned materials from customers
• Create shipment packages for completed cable assembly jobs
• Fulfill material shortages to the floor from Kardex machine
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and organization skills
• Excellent attention to detail
