Production Control Clerk

Responsibilities

• Create, release, and close production orders to support customer and inventory demands
• Maintain raw material levels and initiate requisitions or RFQs as needed
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory teams to maintain production flow
• Stage materials and components for production orders
• Manage parts sent to outside processing, including tracking and receiving
• Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Manage Kanban systems for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Ensure finished goods are properly moved and recorded in inventory systems
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors

Requirements

• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop or fabrication preferred)
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or material handling
• Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas
• Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kanban or Lean manufacturing systems
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
• Experience coordinating outside processing or vendor-managed workflows

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday, day shift

Work Environment

• Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
• Regular exposure to production areas
• Use of standard safety equipment (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc.)
