Production Control/Aviation Maintenance Supervisor (Army Rotary Wing)

About the role

Supervise organizational-level maintenance on assigned Army rotary-wing aircraft. Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring work is scheduled and performed safely and efficiently. Oversee maintenance staff, including performance reviews, personnel issues, task assignments, and priority setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspections of aircraft, subsystems, and components.
• Execute engineering work orders for modifications or upgrades to aircraft systems.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to determine repair or replacement methods for malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction to team members on technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials.
• Maintain equipment maintenance schedules, monitor parts and supply inventories, and ensure material availability.
• Offer technical guidance to Engineering staff on new equipment start-up and maintenance program follow-up.
• Train employees on company equipment per OSHA regulations and monitor annual training requirements.
• Supervise and assist in aircraft/equipment movement as needed.
• Conduct flight line and hangar foreign object damage prevention walks and housekeeping.
• Meet with customers and company senior leadership as required.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ten years of aviation maintenance experience, including three years of US Army aviation maintenance experience.
• Five years of supervisory experience, with two years in Army aviation maintenance supervision.
• Ability to plan and schedule maintenance work and direct skilled technicians.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (NAC-I T1 Public Trust).
• US citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license.
• In-depth knowledge of flight line operations, aircraft/vehicle movement, and safety/hazards.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft tools, technical orders, schematics, and systems (engine, landing gear, flight controls).
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk or stand on level/inclined surfaces for up to three hours per day and sit for up to five hours per day.
• May lift up to 30 lbs. to a height of 4 feet and 20 lbs. to 7 feet; occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
• May carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees, and reach above/below shoulders.
• Must routinely climb/descend stairs.

Pay

$80,000–$90,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws or agreements.
