Production Control Assistant

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Input information info into the Fab-Trol system regarding the job specification and material requirements of each engineered drawing directly from the drawing and the Bill of Materials.
• Issues, cut, and pull lists to shop.
• Allocate material used to appropriate job.
• Purchasing materials.
• Checks and routes drawings.
• End of year inventory.
• Compares the Bill of Material requirements to the print. Verifies matching information for each piece mark listed on the Bill of Materials.
• Solves all discrepancies with the Engineering Manager.
• Responsible for sending out quotes for purchasing material for quoted jobs.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year’s experience in an engineering or purchasing department.
• Knowledge and understanding of blueprints and drawings is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access.
• Excellent organizational skills required.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit and work directly on a computer for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Some overtime and weekend work required.
