Production Clerk

Job Summary

Provides administrative support to the production department. Releases and distributes orders for assigned department. Performs daily production reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Captures and reviews data from manufacturing and support organizations, coordinates with capacity and material analysis to resolve material and capacity discrepancies that affect the schedule
• Translates anticipated demand into production and purchase orders for internal and external suppliers
• Attends production and planning meetings
• Works closely with Customer Service Department, Purchasing Department, Production Department, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Shipping Department to ensure products are produced and shipped per schedule
• Processes change notices
• Fulfills replacement part orders
• Maintains daily attendance records
• Completes daily MDI reports
• Facilitates orientation for new hires
• Cross trains team members on processes and assists with production as needed
• Create purchase requisitions for department supplies as required using purchasing system
• Performs safety inspections

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in comparable roles
