About the role

This role offers a starting pay range of $20 to $27 per hour, with actual compensation based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic considerations.

As a Production Clerk, you will assist in all activities of ink production and serve as the lead person when covering for the Shift Supervisor. This position plays a key role in promoting organizational goals and ensuring efficient, safe production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the job duties of an Inkmaker/Ink Technician when not covering for a Shift Supervisor
  • Tend mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind raw materials
  • Weigh quantities of raw materials for manufacturing high-quality printing ink
  • Operate one or more mixers safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a mental and physical working knowledge of all production floor activities
  • Demonstrate work in accordance with work instructions
  • Establish or adjust work priorities to meet production schedules
  • Explain production tasks required for the day
  • Estimate, request, and inspect materials
  • Interact with personnel in QC, Warehouse, and other departments to accomplish daily goals
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Control the movement of production into and out of the department
  • Commit to participation in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities with a clear understanding of all KPI targets
  • Support TPM activities across all pillars on the plant floor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
  • Good math and basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading comprehension abilities
  • Detail-oriented with good attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or supervisory experience
  • Forklift experience (training available)
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
