Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. Our market-leading portfolio includes vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems, and metal accessories.

About the role

Base pay rate: $16.00 per hour plus $1.45 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift. Benefits start on day one. Shoe voucher/reimbursement available.

Schedule

6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Friday - Sunday. Training period requires working Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and may last up to 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and produce component parts for the final assembly of windows.
  • Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
  • Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
  • Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
  • Understand and carry out verbal instructions.
  • Read and carry out simple written instructions, work orders, labels, and schedules.
  • Use a tape measure, inspect, examine, and observe for product defects.
  • Make fraction and decimal conversions.
  • Operate equipment needed to perform job functions.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience reading a tape measure is preferred.

Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
