Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. We serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets, offering a market-leading portfolio that includes vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems, and metal accessories.

About the role

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This role involves tasks across various departments.

Schedule

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday
  • 3rd Shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday - Friday (includes a $1.50 per hour shift differential)

Training period requires working Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and may last up to 6 weeks.

Pay

Base pay rate: $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
  • Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
  • Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
  • Understand and carry out verbal instructions.
  • Read and carry out simple written instructions, work orders, labels, and schedules.
  • Use a tape measure, inspect, examine, and observe for product defects (candidates will be asked to read measurements during the interview).
  • Make fraction and decimal conversions.
  • Operate equipment needed to perform job functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, above shoulder height and below the waist.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience reading a tape measure is preferred.
