Production Associate, Selmer Lubricants

This role involves operating packaging equipment to manufacture high-quality finished lubricant products safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally responsible manner. The position requires working with hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure, often in outdoor conditions with exposure to elements such as blowing air, heat, noise, and vibration. Additional working conditions include occasional heights, confined spaces, and overtime.

About the Role

The Production Associate performs various duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their assigned processing unit or area. This role reports to the Selma, TN facility and requires the successful completion of an online assessment, which will be emailed after your application is submitted. The assessment must be completed within 7 days of application or before the job posting expires, whichever comes first, and results are valid for one year.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely operate all production equipment.
• Manufacture products according to scheduling requirements and customer needs.
• Fill containers ranging from 4oz to 55-gallon, place them in cases or directly on pallets for stacking or staging.
• Read, understand, and follow documentation to assemble various packaged products.
• Operate, adjust, and monitor the production process to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Adapt to schedule changes due to customer needs, breakdowns, or business requirements.
• Accurately account for all finished products produced and raw materials consumed.
• Perform and document quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Physically and visually inspect raw materials, such as containers, and report defects.
• Take ownership of production activities and communicate variances or concerns to management.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.
• Prioritize and organize job activities to complete them in a timely manner.
• Work independently without constant supervision.
• Maintain proper housekeeping to ensure a safe and environmentally sound work area.
• Stack inspected and filled cases onto pallets, ensuring they are sealed, dated, and labeled correctly.
• Stack up to 700-3000 cases per day, depending on the production line.
• Collaborate as a team player, contributing to the organization and communicating effectively with others.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform all duties, including:
  • Lifting (raise and transport up to 50 pounds).
  • Bending, stooping, and moderate manual labor.
  • Confined space work and climbing.
  • Working at various levels above ground.
• Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in operations.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.

Pay

This position has a base hourly pay of $16.56.
