Production Associate (Rotating Shifts)

About the role

The Production Associate position at Kingsford Manufacturing in Burnside, KY is responsible for the processing, manufacture, packaging, storing, and distribution of charcoal briquettes. The Production Associate may be assigned to work in any of the following areas: Retort, Briquetting, Packaging, Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Press control buttons to activate machinery and equipment
• Turn controls to adjust and regulate machine function as well as flow, speed, and temperature
• Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment
• Move materials, supplies, components, and finished products between storage and work areas
• Pour, scoop, or dump specified ingredients into sections of machine prior to starting machines
• Unload finished packaged product
• Palletize finished product
• Perform quality checks
• Implement improvements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing or related experience
• Must be able to successfully complete Clorox Fork Truck Certification

Qualifications

• Communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
• Understanding of basic technical math and troubleshooting principles
• Ability to learn and master new concepts across departments

Skills

• Ability to load and unload truck using a forklift
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks to move materials and products around the facility
• Ability to operate palletizing equipment to wrap finished products on pallets
• Ability to stack finished packages into trucks using a forklift
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $21.11. Shift differential pay for 2nd shift is $0.65 and $0.85 for 3rd Shift.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: Friday - Tuesday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Swing Shift: Monday & Tuesday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday & Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
