Responsibilities
- Polish precious jewelry pieces with and without stones to meet quality and production standards.
- Clean and recovery operations related to dust collection systems of the Polishing Department.
- Count and record daily production results and verify the accuracy of all work orders.
- Work in a team environment, maintaining a positive and respectful workplace.
- Comply with policies and procedures while always maintaining professional conduct.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment.
- Perform various polishing techniques as well as the use of different buffing wheels and polishing compounds.
- Work safely always by consistently following safe work procedures.
- Promote safety by making suggestions for improvement and promptly reporting all incidents and safety issues.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Mathematical skills with the ability to interpret numerical data, count, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages.
- Ability to handle small parts, with manual dexterity sufficient to combine jewelry settings and gemstones.
- Visual acuity to accurately identify product colors against reference color charts, and to evaluate product quality using a jeweler’s eye loupe.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A high school diploma required; one year of manufacturing related experience in production, or warehouse / fulfillment operations.
- An organized thought process with high attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled requirements, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An excellent work ethic. Follows directions and demonstrates initiative to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
