About the role

The Production Associate performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products, following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits. This role involves repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce windows.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished products from raw materials.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
  • Track production on schedule boards.
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Place finished goods in the designated area.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintain production schedule to meet customer orders on a daily basis.
  • Rotate to different workstations as production needs require.
  • Read a tape measure accurately and consistently.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Read and comprehend floor reports.
  • Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Comply with all EHS requirements, policies, cardinal safety rules, and regulations.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to glass, vinyl, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • Exposure to extreme heat conditions.
  • Loud noise levels in the work environment.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear/metatarsals. Specialized PPE may be required in certain areas.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Involves bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds (up to 50 pounds in specified positions).
  • Standing for long periods throughout the day.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with shifts available Monday through Friday, either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Regular and frequent overtime and weekend work may be required as business dictates.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No formal education or experience required, though previous production experience or a high school diploma is preferred.

Pay

Pay range: $19.50 per hour.
