Production Associate - Modesto, CA

About the role

Georgia-Pacific is seeking motivated Production Associates in Modesto, CA. This role operates in a hot, humid, and noisy environment, working any shift including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties such as routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or military environment
• Completion of post-high school education in manufacturing/industrial

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Basic computer literacy

Pay

$23.45 per hour, with second shift differential of $.60 per hour and third shift differential of $.70 per hour.

Schedule

Shift Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. Shift Hours (Monday – Friday): 1st: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, 3rd: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
