Production Associate Lead

About the role

This position provides work leadership to junior level associates and serves as a resource for resolving complex problems and tasks. It also involves serving as the primary point of contact for internal departments regarding production line issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides input to the Value Stream Manager in decision making that impacts production line efficiency.
• Learns all set-ups before starting the production line.
• Assists all operators and maintenance in troubleshooting equipment.
• Maintains monitoring of line operation, performance, and downtime throughout the shift.
• Becomes a Product Subject Matter Expert and drives continuous improvement via Kaizen.
• Works with cross-functional teams, engineering, schedulers, and leadership daily.

Qualifications

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for 8 hours, or more if working overtime.
• Light computer skills and ability to read/enter data as required.
• Quality/Safety conscious with ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail.
• Good attendance record and must be able to work 40+ hours per week, including weekend work when needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Quick learner with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work with light fabrication equipment.
• Must be able to operate torque equipment.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Willingness to rotate between various positions in the organization based on business needs.
• Must wear steel-toed shoes.
• Oracle systems knowledge preferred.
• Basic soldering skills preferred.

Pay

The target base salary range for this position is $37,200 - $55,700. Actual offers will vary based on individual qualifications and experience.

Schedule

This position requires being on-site at the Elgin, IL facility.
