Production Associate II - 2nd shift

About the role

In this role, you will make an impact by ensuring safety, reporting incidents, maintaining compliance, using personal protective equipment (PPE), promoting team safety, and supporting environmental awareness. You will also contribute to quality control, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency in our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately to maintain a safe work environment.
• Promptly report any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
• Adhere to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Promote interdependence and team safety by looking out for colleagues.
• Minimize the negative impact of work on the environment.
• Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures to maintain high product standards and reduce costs.
• Actively participate in training, development, and initiatives to improve quality, safety, and processes.
• Complete rework from all brake lines as required.
• Stand for 8 hours and lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and safe operating procedures.
• Adhere to work instructions and complete required quality inspections and checks per established control plans.
• Meet site attendance and punctuality expectations.
• Operate pneumatic tools, overhead hoists, and other required equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform duties associated with minor maintenance and material handling of rear axles.
• Provide and maintain personal hand tools required by the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through excellent housekeeping practices.
• Work collaboratively as an effective team member by assisting other operators to support production and operational goals.
• Perform multiple job functions throughout the shift to support material flow and production requirements.
• Perform work requiring continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting while assembling rear axles and brake components.
• Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds; use proper lifting techniques and mechanical lifting devices when necessary.
• Safely operate overhead hoists and lift trucks during equipment setup and production activities.
• Exercise sound judgment when identifying, troubleshooting, and responding to issues in the manufacturing process.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by following standardized work and contributing to a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience to meet applicable regulations.
• Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
• Effective communication skills to deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.
