Production Associate, Halftime/Fast Money - CNBC

About the role

At CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, you’ll assist producers with story production and pre-interviews, research background information on business and financial news stories, coordinate production requests, feeds/Zooms, and schedules, and collaborate with other departments including technical operations, publicity, promotions, marketing, and dotcom.

Responsibilities

• Assist producers with story production and pre-interviews.
• Find background information on a wide range of business and financial news stories, using a variety of sources such as the Internet, newspapers, and magazines.
• Coordinate production requests, feeds/Zooms, and schedules.
• Coordinate with other departments including technical operations, publicity, promotions, marketing, dotcom, and others.

Requirements

• BA degree in journalism or business, or an equivalent degree.
• Minimum 1 year of production experience.
• Proficiency with content systems, especially the iNews computer system is preferred.
• Interest in and proficiency in social media a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal & teamwork skills, exhibiting proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels and across all functional groups.
• Self-starter able to make quick, editorially sound decisions while remaining calm under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task and experience working in live television.
• Ability to work with others under tight deadlines.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proactive thinker / self-starter.
• Business news knowledge a plus.

Pay

$26/hour - $28/hour.
