About the role

The Garment Hanger/Inspector is responsible for safely and accurately placing customer garments on hangers and for visually inspecting all garments to identify the need for proactive repairing, such as patching holes or tears. This position is on a performance-based incentive pay structure; you must meet or exceed a production standard for hanging garments, and additional compensation is tied to exceeding those standards. Garment Hanger/Inspectors are also expected to maintain the cleanliness of their work area.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately place customer garments on hangers.
  • Visually inspect all garments to identify the need for proactive repairs (e.g., patching holes or tears).
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must adhere to attendance policy.
  • Must be willing to work in a safe proximity to other people for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment with time pressures to complete work quickly.

Physical Qualifications

  • Requires standing for most of the shift.
  • Requires repetitive motions, stretching, bending, turning, or reaching to accomplish work activities.
  • May require pushing carts or bins full of bulk or linen product to station to prepare for folding.

How You Will Be Evaluated

The full selection process may include:

  • Job Tryout (a realistic job preview to understand the work environment, activities, and performance expectations; candidates are compensated for their time).

Pay

A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role ranges between $16.90 - $19.25/hour, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $3.00 per hour through individual productivity and performance.

Schedule

  • Full time.
  • 1st shift.
