Production Associate - Frames
About the Role
As a Production Associate - Frames, you will perform a variety of duties related to the production of custom doors and entryways. You will assemble custom-made doors following templates and instructions, troubleshoot issues, and work with your team to produce the highest quality product. You will also operate upstream equipment and processes to facilitate product flow and feed downstream activities, using CNC equipment, hand tools, and various measurement devices. Additionally, you will participate in continuous improvement activities and creative problem-solving processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is done following safety guidelines.
- Assemble custom-made doors using mechanical talents and following templates and instructions.
- Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with the team to maintain high product quality.
- Operate upstream equipment and processes to support product flow and downstream activities.
- Use CNC equipment, hand tools, and measurement devices.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and problem-solving processes.
- Read, comprehend, and carry out instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
- Measure and perform mathematical computations, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Intermediate mechanical comprehension and abilities.
- Ability to read a tape measure down to a 1/32".
- Ability to lift 70 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or construction experience.
- Blueprint or template reading experience.
