About the role

This role follows a day shift schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with designated days off on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The position is based at Home Chef's newest location: 1701 E Patapsco Ave, Baltimore, MD 21226.

Responsibilities

  • Pick ingredients with strong attention to detail throughout the assembly process
  • Visually inspect produce
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Lift less than 50 pounds
  • Work in a refrigerated environment (34-36°F) for the entire shift—dress for the cold
  • Move between tasks as needed
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure customer safety

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and reliable transportation
  • 6+ months of production/warehouse environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as part of a team
  • HS Diploma preferred but not required

GMP Adherence

All associates must follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Restricted items include:

  • Piercings or dermals
  • Fake nails, nail polish, and/or acrylic nails
  • Watches, bracelets, or other jewelry
  • Fake eyelashes and/or excessive make-up
  • Weapons (including box cutters)

Orientation + Onboarding

  • 2-day orientation, typically on Wednesday & Thursdays, starting at 7:15 AM (active participation required)
  • Strict 2-week onboarding window with expected attendance every scheduled workday

Pay

Maryland Pay Range: $17.75 USD per hour. The exact offer depends on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end.
