About the role

We are hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Loader) in South Plainfield, NJ. The position involves loading and unloading high-pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks, inspecting cylinders, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload high-pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following established safety guidelines.
  • Navigate hazards of various gases and size/contents of cylinders.
  • Safely maneuver forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Coordinate the tracking of type and quantity of cylinders.
  • Examine returned cylinders for surface defects, dents, cracks, burns, and contribute to the upkeep of equipment.
  • Segregate out-of-test cylinders and defective cylinders.
  • Remove old labels, clean cylinders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and related rules.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related technical experience.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Airgas safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

2nd Shift (1pm-9:30pm), Monday-Friday
