Production Associate

About the role

This position is a Production Associate I role located in Canton, OH (Brookline).

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspection of product & processes.
• Cleans work area and machinery.
• Packages and palletizes finished product.
• Operates forklift during routine performance of duties.
• Performs paperwork and record keeping duties as required under the direction of management.
• Communicates pertinent information to fellow employees as needed.
• Performs or assists in maintaining production equipment as needed.
• Affords on the job training to employees as needed.
• Responsible for replenishing supplies and materials for assigned area.
• Relieves other employees for breaks as directed.
• Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
• Affirms and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Supports and follows guidelines pertaining to plant and customer specific food safety systems, food culture, and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Requirements

• Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school education, General Education Development (GED), or through equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift.
• Must be able to work 3:00PM - 11:30PM on 2nd shift.
• Must be able to work 11:00PM - 7:30AM on 3rd shift.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

$22.92 + $0.75 Shift Differential

Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift.
