Responsibilities
- Safely manufactures product per existing materials and process within work centers
- Ensures sales orders are shipped on time with high quality
- Attends safety trainings and safety huddles
- Reports unsafe work conditions to the Supervisor, Safety Manager, or designate
- Implements safety improvements or initiatives
- Maintains clean workspace with tools in good working condition
- Prepares workspace for new jobs
- Fulfills quality control expectations
- Participates in corrective action process and problem-solving meetings
- Follows quality processes and performs inspections
- Participates in 5S initiatives
- Maintains daily production expectations
- Matches production orders and sales orders
- Follows UL-48 standard when producing UL certified items
- Completes annual self-evaluation reviews
- Attends monthly 1-to-1 meetings with Supervisor
- Completes goals as set by Supervisor
- Attends internal training seminars
- Performs daily preventive maintenance
- Ensures floors are cleaned and mopped
- Schedules repairs to minimize downtime
- Ensures walkways, emergency exits, and panels are clear
- Stores materials in proper locations
- Ensures finished product matches sales order requirements
- Works with team members to meet metrics
- Manages inventory levels
- Engages Supervisor on challenges and proposes solutions
- Participates in continuous improvement projects
- Models and reinforces company culture
Qualifications
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and ERP software
- Experience in manufacturing shop or warehouse environments
- Journeyman card or relevant industry certifications preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Personal accountability and reliability
- High school education required, journeyman card or relevant industry certifications preferred
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems preferred
