Responsibilities

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using jigs, nail guns, and other tools
• Read and accurately build from engineered blueprints
• Insert or position materials, clamp, splice, and fit parts by hand and with power tools
• Verify dimensions of cut material by following supervisor's instructions, blueprint specifications, and the cut sheet layout
• Use a hammer to place metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints
• Perform quality control of assembled items and propose process improvements to increase efficiency
• Follow prioritized production list assigned by Assembler Lead and use assigned press stations to place and press plates on appropriate lumber
• Focus on quality, accuracy, and safety
• Collaborate with a driven team to meet production goals
• Fulfill daily machine and area cleanup procedures

Requirements

• Truss, framing, or construction experience required
• Proficient with tape measures and power tools
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to read and understand simple diagrams, blueprints, and a tape measure
• Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods (10–12 hour shifts)
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

Pay

Starting pay with no experience: $15/hr. Pay with roof or floor truss assembly experience is negotiable.

Schedule

1st shift, full-time, 10–12 hour shifts.
