Production Assistant - Wood/A Crew

Core Responsibilities

• Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Aid the department in producing a quality product based on product specifications.
• Monitor and complete quality checks to ensure that the products (color, surface, size, etc.) meet product standards before packaging.
• Perform placement of pallets and proper packaging techniques for finished materials as directed.
• Move materials to designated areas as needed.
• Assist extrusion operators with all machine cleaning functions including saws, tanks, etc., when necessary.
• Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to production assistants, assistant operators, operators, and team leaders as needed.
• Follow all plant safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Complete detailed production operator reports.
• Complete and attach labels according to product specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the production area.
• Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by leadership.

Education Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Range: $16 - $18.50/hr.
• Schedule: 6:45am to 7:00pm, 2/2/3 schedule, working every other weekend.
