Production Assistant - Eugene, OR

About the role

Farwest Steel Corporation is seeking a Production Assistant to join their Operations Department. This role is located onsite at the company's facilities in the Western United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.
• Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.
• Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.
• Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.
• Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
• Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
• Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is optional.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.

Pay

$18.50 - $21.50, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday Day, 7:30am to 4:00pm Swing, 3:30pm to 12:00am Graveyard, 11:30pm to 8:00am
