Production Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Stages and manually charges necessary raw materials into mixing container.
• Follow batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Maintains mixing equipment and other instruments to ensure batches are produced according to work instructions.
• Adjusts batches under Quality Control guidance until they are approved.
• Works with the Supervisor to address any potential improvements or concerns regarding the manufacturing schedule.
• Cleans up the work area to meet company standards.
• Ensures the work area is safe, clean, and hazard-free, reporting spills or other hazards immediately to a supervisor.
• Complies with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate high-speed dispersers and other handling equipment.
• Ability to read digital scales.

Education & Experience

• Chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.

Information & Compensation & Benefits

Location: Billerica, MA
Schedule: 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay: This position has a salary range of $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
Bonus Pay: Meridian offers an incentive plan for 2025 focused on safety, quality, and financial metrics. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with earned payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
