Production Assembly Technician
Responsibilities
Perform assembly and checkout of air defense weapon systems.
Handle warheads, pyrotechnic devices, and complete air defense weapons systems.
Work with computer systems and applications.
Perform hardware movement in factory.
Follow all documented processes and procedures involving assembly and focus on proper material handling is always adhered to.
Willing to work with explosive items.
Able to operate pneumatic and manual tools.
Able to use manual torque tools.
Follow detailed work instructions and detailed processes to ensure hardware conformance.
Support and champion Lean Manufacturing in all processes and areas of responsibility.
Participates in meetings to acquire knowledge necessary to assist in continuance of production operations.
Provide work assignments and instruction to team member operators as needed.
Provides leadership to other team members during completion of assigned tasks.
Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience in assembly or related field.
Experience to operate forklift, walker stacker, pallet jack, and other equipment normally associated with loading and unloading trucks.
Work outside to load and unload materials year-round.
Able to obtain and have two (2) years' experience utilizing a class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with vehicle and hazardous material endorsement.
Physical warehousing and inventory control experience.
DoD SECRET or higher security clearance.
Hazmat Certification with Hazmat Endorsement
Hazmat Waste Generator
Forklift Operator Certification
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification
