About the role

Under general supervision, uses hand tools and electric tools to mount parts, fabricate sheet metal enclosures, assemble power stacks and install power wire and/or wire harness for various products according to job shop instructions and by following the company's workmanship standards. Possess the basic understanding of measuring to 1/32nd of an inch with a temp measurer, torque tolerance and hardware assembly. Complete other duties as assigned. This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

Responsibilities

  • Uses hand tools and electric tools to mount parts, fabricate sheet metal enclosures, assemble power stacks and install power wire and/or wire harness for various products according to job shop instructions and by following the company's workmanship standards.
  • Possess the basic understanding of measuring to 1/32nd of an inch with a temp measurer, torque tolerance and hardware assembly.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • 0-2 years’ demonstrated fabrication, sheet metal, carpentry or related experience.
  • Possess the basic understanding of measuring, torque tolerance and hardware assembly.
  • Ability to work independently to complete milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quality and productivity standards within team.
  • Good time-management skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive use of the hands and arms to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Requires sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts, read work instructions, and perform quality checks.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
