Basic Qualifications
- Twelve months previous experience in production assembly-type work or mechanical experience such as automotive/HVAC repair, construction, and bench assembly work.
- Ability to read assembly blueprints in order to perform work described.
- Familiarity with various hand tools.
- Must Pass Proficiency Demonstrations to retain employment.
Job Description
You will be the Production Assembler C130 for the team which is responsible for using jigs, fixtures, rivet-upsetting equipment, and hand tools to assemble aircraft components.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Assembler C130, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation blueprints or other authorized documents to obtain assembly and installation information and material callouts.
- Setting up and using jigs and fixtures to ensure precise part alignment.
- Operating rivet-upsetting and bench-assembly equipment to secure fasteners.
- Applying rules, squares, protractors, and dividers to verify geometry and dimensions.
- Performing arithmetic, including decimals and fractions, to calculate material requirements and tolerances.
- Working to exacting tolerances required for each assembly operation.
