About the role
As a Production Assembler at RACO, you will build finished units by hand following step-by-step work instructions. Our products run on proprietary software, so this role has two sides: physical assembly and software setup and configuration. No prior experience with our products or in manufacturing is required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble autodialer units and related equipment using hand tools, following written instructions and diagrams
- Install wiring, connectors, circuit boards, and hardware components into chassis and enclosures
- Perform basic electrical assembly including crimping, wire stripping, and light soldering
- Use RACO's proprietary software to configure and program finished units
- Program firmware onto ICs and run basic functional tests, recording results on build logs or traveler sheets
- Inspect completed assemblies for visible defects, missing parts, or incorrect connections
- Prepare components and organize materials before beginning each build
- Keep your workstation clean and organized throughout the shift
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities and time
- Flag quality issues or defective parts to your supervisor promptly
- Follow all safety guidelines
Requirements
- Comfortable with computers and able to learn new software programs confidently — this is a must
- Able to follow written and visual work instructions carefully and consistently
- Good hand-eye coordination and ease working with small parts and fine detail
- Basic math skills: measuring, counting, reading part numbers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality over speed
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to take direction
- Nice to have: Any hands-on experience with electronics, wiring, or mechanical assembly; Familiarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, or crimping tools; Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
