About the Division
The ITW GSE Division is an industry-leading manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the aviation industry, serving airports and airlines worldwide. Core products include Power Supply Units for aircraft parked on the ground. The division operates two factories and three sales offices:
- ITW GSE Americas, Palmetto, Florida
- ITW GSE International, Odense, Denmark
- Sales Offices in Dubai and Singapore
Organizationally, ITW GSE is part of the Specialty Products Segment of Illinois Tool Works (ITW).
Responsibilities
- Assemble products mechanically in assigned area using the ITW Toolbox, focusing on quality and on-time delivery.
- Remain flexible in daily activities to meet overall production requirements.
- Learn new tasks with minimal supervision and instructions.
- Foster a safe environment prioritizing productivity and efficiency, ensuring meaningful and challenging work for employees.
- Apply ITW principles and philosophies: simplify, focus, trust, empower.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized cell at all times.
- Follow all safety and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and processes.
- Champion 5S principles and practices.
- Demonstrate full working knowledge of the Production Board to guide daily work.
Requirements
- Professional experience in production mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the company.
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, air tools, torque wrenches, etc.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Fluency in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
