Production Assembler (2nd Shift)
We are seeking an Production Assembler on our 2nd shift!
About the role
This role involves various tasks, including mechanical assembly, subassembly, circuit board soldering, harnessing, and solder termination, all performed in accordance with assembly process procedures and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Performs electrical and/or mechanical assembly
- Assembles small components
- Uses small electrical hand tools and a soldering iron
- Hand-solder components onto circuit cards
- Performs wire harnessing
- Utilize calipers, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools to perform assembly or disassembly of assemblies or sub-assemblies
- Utilize the arbor press, drill press, and other pieces of equipment for assembly and finishing work
- Follows shop orders, engineering drawings, or production work instructions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Able to follow standard written work instructions and comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Able to successfully pass the Astronautics solder training program
- Able to pass English comprehension test (in order to meet requirements of our FAA Repair Station)
- Must be a U.S. person as defined under U.S. export regulations
Preferred
- IPC-610 solder certified or a minimum of two years of soldering experience
- Avionics manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience operating SMT, Selective/Wave Solder, Conformal coating equipment a plus
