Production Artist, Basketball Signature Athlete Apparel Graphics - Sport

About the role

You will report directly to the Production Art Manager or Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers. Your primary cross functional partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Development and Material Development.

Responsibilities

• Working on highly visible product across cut and sew and tees inspired by Signature Basketball Athletes.
• Working with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product.
• Leveraging 2D and 3D tools.
• Participating in Production Art meetings and alignment.
• Creating high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation.
• Creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs.
• Tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval.
• Learning new tools and advocating for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a design and/or production environment.

Skills

• Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates.
• Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables.
• Expert-level listening, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team.
• Laser focus on critical details that often get missed.
• Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities.
• Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community.
• Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta) is preferred.
• Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro is a plus.
• A love for sports is a bonus, but a love for design is essential.
