About the role
Culture Studio is seeking a Production Liaison to serve as the backbone of production communication in our fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role requires agility and a dedication to growth, with a primary focus on understanding and communicating the capabilities of Culture Studio to continuously impress clients. You will execute the client’s vision efficiently while recording results. Culture Studio operates out of two locations—headquarters in Chicago and a production facility in Daytona Beach—as well as a global network of dedicated partners. This position is on-site at our Chicago location and supports production communication across all fronts during the 2nd shift.
Top Priorities
- Maintain a clear understanding of order expectations to proactively make educated decisions through concise communication between internal teams and the client. Understanding client vision, shipping date and location, and production capabilities is vital.
- Take and send photo approvals quickly, accurately, and with the highest attention to detail. Utilize resources to make necessary changes before showing the client, and be hands-on in working to receive a timely response.
- Foster internal and external relationships to ensure efficient and effective communication on all fronts.
Responsibilities
- Adjust art, inks, and print sequence to ensure the finished physical product accurately matches the digital mock.
- Photograph products for social media, internal marketing, and client approvals in a quick and prepared manner.
- Communicate directly with clients on art and photo approvals via email and phone to ensure satisfaction and print accuracy for our production teams.
- Communicate effectively via phone, email, and Slack with internal team members and production network to ensure proper needs are handled accordingly.
- Work closely with print teams to troubleshoot production by understanding substrates, inks, mesh, LPI, DPI, and press settings.
- Preflight raster and vector artwork for high-profile clients.
- Check completed sample orders for high-profile clients to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards before shipping.
- Log KPIs to track data for results of photo approval and sample success rates.
- Work with both internal and external teams to make fast and effective decisions that will not hinder or affect production timelines.
- Update the platform to track changes made in production or sampling.

Requirements
- Proficient with Mac computers and mastery of shortcut keys.
- Advanced comprehension of Adobe Illustrator (industry-specific preferred).
- Advanced comprehension of Adobe Photoshop (industry-specific preferred).
- Ability to effectively and efficiently handle all vector and raster-supplied art.
- Understanding of screen print production processes (squeegee types, pressure, and angles).
- Understanding of embroidery production.
- Understanding of color theory, typography, and branding.
- Understanding of underbases and ink types.
- Working knowledge of darkroom/pre-press (mesh, LPI, etc.).
- Photography experience is a plus.
