Production and Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Own and follow Safety policies and procedures.
• Complete training from positions of Production Associate to Assembly Mechanic.
• Perform daily Maintainer role in Production including Quality checks and unplanned breakdown repair if required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a monthly basis.
• Operate, adjust, and repair equipment to perform various manual or mechanical production functions.
• Conduct inspection of in-process and finished products and adhere to quality standards.
• Jointly responsible for required operating data such as production figures, machine performance, efficiencies, maintenance, quality/spoilage.
• Record keeping of job tasks on paper and in computer system.
• Supply and maintain required hand tools (3-month timeframe).
• Perform clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
• Record keeping of tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.

Requirements

• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls (a plus but not required).
• Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.
