Production and Inventory Planner - 1st shift - Food Manufacturer

Responsibilities

• Create, monitor, and communicate daily and weekly production plans.
• Work closely with business teams to ensure production status awareness and integration of work planning and execution objectives.
• Analyze and schedule packaging department labor.
• Analyze requests for large-scale maintenance/repairs to ensure customer demands are met.
• Manage packaging material inventories to ensure adequate supply.
• Purchase raw materials and packaging through the corporate procurement team.
• Prepare production reports and participate in meetings as required.
• Procure fruit for processing.
• Create purchase orders for secured fruit loads.
• Travel to visit growers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business and professional designation such as APICS preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• 2-3 years’ experience in production planning and/or procurement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience with problem-solving, statistical, and analytical skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
• Motivated, focused, and accountable for results.
• Valid Washington Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, purchasing packaging materials and ingredients, creating and communicating daily/weekly production plans, working with vendors to secure raw fruit, managing packaging material inventories, and procuring fruit for processing. The role also involves ensuring compliance with food safety policies and interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
