Job Description

The Product and Zero Waste Specialist is responsible for driving waste diversion sales for Eco-Products customers by utilizing relationships with haulers, composters, and sustainability-minded customers. This position serves as a "consultant" to our team and our customer base with a focus on Waste Diverting operators and direct-sales accounts such as stadiums, corporate campuses, and universities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive waste diverting operator sales in coordination with the Regional Sales Manager and brokers.
  • Serve as a consultant to both prospects and clients looking to strengthen their commitment to sustainable packaging and waste diversion.
  • Develop and expand relationships with compost manufacturers and food waste haulers in the region and drive forward increased acceptance of compostable foodservice packaging at compost operations.
  • Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, legislative challenges or opportunities, waste diversion infrastructure opportunities, and competitor products, prices, and sales.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
  • Provide basic product information and practical training to distribution personnel.
  • Seek and develop new business; identify prospective customers by utilizing national account data, as well as, follow up on leads from existing clients, attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Create and present effective presentations that successfully communicate Eco-Products' value proposition and services as part of our category solution.

Qualifications

This position supports the markets of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan, and Missouri. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 - $110,000 + bonus + benefits.
