Responsibilities
- Completes minor repairs on all types of product damage, including case goods, upholstery and leather goods.
- Handles minor repairs with little guidance on all product types.
- Completes all repair types of entry level with additional skills requirements.
- Performs minor repairs on top of surface of case pieces and tables.
- Performs solid color paper/side refinishes.
- Performs small corner damages that require rebuild.
- Has general understanding of spray booth set up and use.
- Performs advanced replacement part repairs.
- Communicates any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean.
- Helps to inspect damaged product and conveys if it can be repaired to like new conditions.
- Accurately reports situations that occur when repairs can not be completed.
- Must be able to assess damages to determine the most efficient way to repair them.
- Identifies damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
- Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
- Maintains proper safety usage of all products that are used within the department.
Qualifications
- General understanding of spray booth set up and use.
- Basic knowledge of furniture repair techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (occasional travel to customer’s homes may be required).
