Product Systems Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Product Systems Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting product development from concept through market release and sustaining. In this role, you'll help translate stakeholder and clinical needs into concepts, requirements, and ultimately working systems, playing a hands-on part in shaping products across their full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• During the concept phase, work closely with stakeholders to understand user and clinical needs and translate them into early-stage concepts and new inventions.
• As development progresses, own requirements identification and decomposition to ensure designs meet user needs, applying systems engineering techniques such as traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting.
• Support system integration efforts.
• May lead verification activities to confirm the design performs as intended.

Requirements

• Work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment based on practical experience and professional expertise.
• Clear communicator.
• Creative problem solver.
• Comfortable balancing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• University degree in engineering or a related field typically required, or an equivalent amount of practical experience gained on the job.
• Entry-level to early-career individual contributor role.
• Prior systems engineering experience is a plus but not required.
