The Medicaid Product Specialist will provide data entry of Medicaid Renewal applications, ensuring a quality application is entered into the eligibility system. This position is full-time and onsite in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of Federal and State laws, Medicaid regulations, standards, and State policies governing public assistance programs
  • Adhere to all CAI and State security protocols and compliance requirements
  • Utilize computer inquiry systems to retrieve necessary verification documents and information
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients by conducting intake assessments to evaluate Medicaid eligibility
  • Process Medicaid renewal applications for clients renewing their medical benefits
  • Analyze financial data and perform calculations for accurate input into the eligibility system
  • Conduct interviews with clients to obtain and exchange sensitive information needed for eligibility determinations
  • Collaborate with clients to securely collect application documents in digital formats (e.g., PDF, JPG)
  • Maintain detailed case management records and documentation using the eligibility system
  • Act as witness at fair hearings for clients appealing their eligibility determination, as necessary
  • Participate in individual and team meetings to stay updated on processes, procedures, and policy changes
  • Perform additional case management tasks as required to support program goals

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience in data entry
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to perform and analyze financial calculations with accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to inform decisions
  • Analytical proficiency to evaluate complex issues and identify patterns, trends, or root causes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required
  • Self-motivated and dependable individual with a commitment to making a positive impact in the community while collaborating in a team-oriented environment
  • Reliable transportation to/from the office with punctual attendance
  • Availability to work onsite full-time, including occasional Saturdays (minimum once per month, if necessary)
  • Capability to remain seated for extended periods and perform desk-based tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Medicaid or other public assistance program eligibility requirements
  • Bilingual communication skills with strong written proficiency

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

Pay

$20 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
