Product Support Sales Rep (PSSR)
About the role
The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is a professional salesperson responsible for identifying new opportunities for parts and/or service sales within the Omaha, NB branch of MGX Equipment Services. This position reports to the Branch Manager and requires a minimum of three (3) years of sales experience within the construction equipment industry.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a sales program within the area based on customer requirements;
- Organizes territory in order to maximize selling time;
- Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing customers;
- Sets up new vendors;
- Informs customers of supply and price trends;
- Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery dates;
- Supports internal sales, service and parts departments;
- Aids in collecting past due account balances;
- Performs inspections on cranes as per request by customers and/or insurance companies;
- Completes inspections on time and discusses results with customer;
- Compiles and prepares lists and labor estimates for quotes;
- Provides customers with technical support;
- Provides operator and maintenance orientation on new equipment;
- Ensures scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner;
- Works closely with Parts and Service Managers to accomplish monthly sales goals;
- Increases sales of replacement parts and solicits revenue repair work on equipment;
- Provides exceptional customer support through timely communications and excellent service;
- Follows up on sales calls;
- Delivers welcome packet within 1 week of delivery of a new or used product.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required;
- Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience preferred within the construction equipment industry;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Self-disciplined and has exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to gaining clientele;
- Knowledge of Crane Equipment (i.e., ATs, RTs, Crawlers, etc.) preferred;
- Clean driving record with the ability to travel 80% daily within assigned territory; occasional overnight travel required;
- Perform job functions in a safe manner;
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed;
- Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules;
- Participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received;
- Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those you can.

Pay
This position offers a pay range between $50,000-$65,000 annually plus variable compensation. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.
