Responsibilities

  • Promote all of CEC products and services.
  • Order all parts at customer jobsites and expedite parts on backorder.
  • Aid customers in identifying their parts needs and obtaining the correct parts.
  • Manage and retain a specific group of customers within the appropriate sales territory.
  • Maintain high efficiency in the parts business and functions performed in ordering to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction.
  • Diplomatically handle customer complaints and report any issues needing other company attention.
  • Maintain promises and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Make recommendations for new markets and improvements.
  • Develop and implement service programs for assigned customers (maintenance programs, machine repairs, inspections, oil sampling).
  • Conduct market and opinion surveys.
  • Grow market share in the Central Alabama region.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Maintain high employee morale.
  • Complete call reports as specified by company procedures/policies.
  • Monitor and track competitive company sales positions and market positions.
  • Conduct ongoing surveys for each customer to determine their wants and needs for the future.
  • Update and maintain a population list (model numbers and customer names).
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as specified in manuals.

Requirements

  • Personable, highly motivated, problem solver, reliable, ethical, adaptable.
  • Strong selling and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer, drive a vehicle, operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Physical abilities including twisting, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, bending, fine manipulation, and simple grasping.
  • Lifting and carrying parts and components weighing from 5 – 100 lbs.
  • Performing tasks at customer jobsites and at CEC.
  • On-call 24 hours a day.
