About the Role

The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking an Information Technology Manager I in the Business Application Support Services (BASS) Section, Product Strategy & Delivery team. This position provides leadership and oversight for a highly visible team responsible for supporting enterprise leadership communications, vetting and initiating new efforts aligned with organizational goals, and remaining engaged throughout development, rollout, implementation, and ongoing enhancements of enterprise projects, efforts, and new applications.

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment where leadership, communication, and organization are essential to success. The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite per week.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Effective July 1, 2025, a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours of Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) leave credits will apply monthly. The salary range does not reflect this reduction.

• Drive enterprise initiatives forward by building strong partnerships and bringing clarity to complex work.

Requirements

• All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification must be included in your application package.
